The Pasadena Public Library is offering children ages 5 and up and their families a chance to learn Mandarin and a bit of Chinese culture in a series of online events starting Thursday, June 2, from 4:30 p.m. 5:15 p.m.

By using Neulingo, mother tongue teachers will make learning enjoyable and engaging for children. Through themed activities, children will learn about Chinese culture and language, with sessions focusing on fun greetings, color in Chinese culture, interesting foods, small talk and the Dragon Boat Festival.

NeuLingo is an authentic online Mandarin learning program for North American children ages 5-16.

To participate in this program, you will need access to a technological device – a computer or tablet – with Safari, Edge or Chrome browsers and high-speed internet. You’ll also need access to a microphone, speaker, and video camera, though the one on your tech device is fine.

If you need a technology device or high-speed Internet access, contact your local library branch. the library has chrome books and cash register access points.
