PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to the voters of the Western Quebec School Board by the returning officer that:

  1. The following positions are open for applications:
    • Commissioner – Ward #1 (G. Théberge, Noranda, Val d’Or)
    • Commissioner – Ward #10 (Lord Aylmer, WQCC)
  2. Nominations for these positions must be filed at the office of the returning officer or at the office of the assistant(s) authorized to receive the nomination papers, on the following days and times:

Since May 10 to May 15, 2022 inclusive, according to the following schedule:

Since May 10 to May 14, 2022
Since 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and of 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sunday May 15, 2022
Since 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

*Saturday, April 2, declarations of candidacy will be received by appointment only.

  1. If two or more candidates are nominated for the same position,
    • A vote will take place on June 19, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.,
    • Advance voting will take place on June 12, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  1. I have appointed Ms. Rachel Vincent to act as election secretary.
  2. An elector who does not have a child admitted to the educational services of the English-language school board or the French-language school service center serving his domicile may choose to exercise or revoke his right to vote in an English-language school board. This choice is made by sending a written notice to the returning officer of the English school board, from May 21 to May 31, until 10 p.m.
