The ARTS Fellowship Committee is comprised of PPAC directors, Rhode Island educators, artists, and community leaders with an interest in youth arts; the committee reviews each application and selects the scholarship recipients. PJ Prokop, Director of Marketing at PPAC, said, “When this program was founded in 1996, we never imagined that ARTS scholarships would be awarded to 787 students! Everyone at PPAC is extremely proud of offering middle school students the opportunity to pursue their interests and develop their talents in a discipline of their choice through arts education summer programs based right here in Rhode Island. Congratulations to the students and their families, we hope this experience helps you follow your dreams.” Seven in memoriam scholarships will be awarded to students who have demonstrated a love for theatre, music and dance in their applications. One student will receive the Jo-Ann Ragosta Scholarship, awarded in memory of Jo-Ann Ragosta, Director of the PPAC Board of Directors and Chair of the ARTS Scholarship Committee.
