Wednesday January 26
10:30 a.m. Early Literacy Story Time at the West Fargo Public Library
Kindergarten children are invited to join us for early literacy story time on Wednesdays from 10:30-11:30. writing, songs, play and artistic activities before going to kindergarten. Early Literacy Story Hours are for children ages 3-5, but children of other ages will not be turned away. Every story hour is a little different, but we will always read, play and create together! Each week will have new themes, new stories, new activities and new fun.

Thursday January 27
6-7 p.m. Books & Brews Book Club at Thunder Coffee, 300 Sheyenne St #190, West Fargo.
The Books and Brews Book Club meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at Thunder Coffee. This book club is a community collaboration between Thunder Coffee, Ferguson Books and the West Fargo Public Library. Learn more about library book clubs at westfargolibrary.org/bookclubs.

6-8 p.m., Technology Tutors available at the West Fargo Library

Volunteer technology tutors are available to help you with topics such as: basic computer, tablet, e-reader or
smartphone skills; basic internet and browsing skills; set up email or social media accounts; learning
how to use the apps and websites; and streaming and downloading of digital media.

Friday January 28
10:30 a.m. Baby Boost Storytime at the West Fargo Public Library
On Friday, story time is specially reserved for babies. Baby Boost Storytime encourages connections through language and social interaction. This story time provides a safe and encouraging space for children 2 and under and their caregivers to interact and develop language and social skills through the introduction of books, rhymes, signs and games. The activities in this story hour also help foster an emotional connection between the child and their caregiver, which helps create a positive association with learning and reading.

1:30-4:30 p.m., Pine Needle Sew & Chat at the West Fargo Public Library
Pine Needle Sew & Chat is an opportunity for pine needle sewers to come together and work on their sewing projects. Bring work in progress or being a new project. Pine Needle Sew & Chat meetings are open to anyone who has attended a Pine Needle basket weaving class at the West Fargo Library or elsewhere. Instructor Eileen McEnroe will be on hand to answer questions and help with supplies. This is not a class. This appointment is intended for experienced seamstresses in pine needles.

6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, Chad Kartenson exhibition opening reception and discussion with the artist
Abstract geometric art by artist Chad Kartenson is on display at the West Fargo Public Library from February 1-28. During this hour-long opening reception and artist talk, Kartenson will talk about his works and answer questions from attendees. This exhibition, which will be held in the library throughout the month of February, is organized in partnership with the Spirit Room, the North Dakota Council on the Arts, The Arts Partnership and CopyKat Copy & Printing Services.
