At Lexi School of Modern Greek, a dynamic team of dedicated teachers are passionate about keeping the Greek language alive in our community. Through an interactive thematic approach and modern teaching methodologies, they provide an engaging and stimulating classroom environment for preschool, primary and secondary students. They strive to instill in their students a genuine love and sense of pride for the Greek language and culture and to strengthen their connection to their heritage.

Inspired by their own children to create a stimulating learning environment for the introduction of Greek language classes, school principals, Evie Simos – Giannoulakis and Mary Krimbogiannis-Souvlis created the unique preschool “Zouzounia Program” in 2007.

Classes are held at Moonee Ponds, Richmond, Preston and Oakleigh. Through stories, crafts, games, songs and dance, toddlers and preschoolers engage in fun educational activities with their parents or grandparents, forming new friendships while by developing a solid foundation for learning the Greek language.

“The past two years have been difficult, but through the challenges, the school community has grown closer and stronger. Teachers and parents have worked together to support, engage and motivate our students. Remote learning has given us a better understanding of how to connect with our students and allow them to feel a sense of joy, confidence and accomplishment,” the principals said.
